Product Description THE SINGING MACHINE STVG-520 TOP-LOAD CDG KARAOKE SYSTEM WITH BUILT-IN VIDEO CAMERA & 5.5" MONITOR
Amazon.com Product Description Get the karaoke party started without having to fire up your TV with the Singing Machine STVG-520 karaoke system, which features a built-in monitor for following along with lyrics as well as built-in stereo speakers. You can sing the lyrics from the 5.5-inch monochrome monitor in front, or with its video and audio outputs you can hook it up to any TV or sound system. It also has an integrated video camera so you can watch yourself perform live on the monitor or your TV. This top-loading machine lets you easily swap CDs and it has two microphone inputs that's great for duets. Other features include a 2-digit LED CDG track indicator, balance and echo control, auto voice control, AC power operation, and a headphone jack for private listening and previewing. It comes with a free CDG music sampler and one microphone to get you started. What's in the Box Karaoke machine (model STVG-520), wired microphone, AC adapter, RCA cables, sampler disc, instruction manual Tech Talk CDG: An acronym for Compact Disc plus Graphics, this is a regular CD with information stored on a data track simultaneous to music. In laymen's terms, CDG has a video output for simple graphics (not full motion video). In the case of karaoke, the graphics function is used to store song lyrics, and display the lyrics in synch with the music. In most cases, CDG software displays lyrics, which change color as they are to be sung. A regular television is all that is required to display CDG lyrics. Echo: Produced by creating minor controlled feedback in the singer's voice, echo adds depth and resonance. The echo function does not affect the music. Auto Voice Control (AVC): This useful function is used primarily during practice sessions while a singer is learning a song. Please note that the AVC function only works with multiplex recordings and not with standard audio recordings. Multiplex: A Multiplex allows you to separate the vocals and music by using the balance control on your Singing Machine Karaoke System.

| Customer Reviews: great machine October 3, 2008 jlb (Ohio) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
we looked around for a lot of karaoke machines and this one definately delivered. Exactly what we were looking for. Right price, plays regular CD's and karaoke Cd's and displays the words, also you can switch it to camera and you can watch yourself! Big hit with the kids and at parties. It's portable and easy to use. Great buy!
Its Okay - Its Hard to Fine a Better One at a Fair Price July 12, 2010 Henrietta I bought this to replace a Memorex, which lasted about 5 years. I had some initial problems such as the microphone didn't connect and when I sang, the music faded in & out - both these problems worked themselves out with use. Now working fine - the only problem remaining is the dials are hard to see. This machine is Okay for the price - its hard to fine a better machine if you want a portable one with a built in screen and a price around $100
Defective - sending it back December 26, 2008 David P. Mcdonald 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We are really disappointed with this product. The b/w screen kept going in and out of focus making it impossible to read the lyrics or view the screen. Clearly there is a product defect. For this reason I do not recommend buying any products from this company.
Unfortunately, this was our "big" present to our 10 year old from Santa. So we are unhappily sending it back to the workshop so that maybe the elves can fix it.
Defective out of the Box December 27, 2008 C. Tatman 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This was the main gift for our eight year old daughter. We opened it, plugged it in and the cd driver wouldn't open. On top of that, the sound didn't work on the microphone. We tried to return or exchange the product, but Sky Box wouldn't do it because we had bought the month before...of course we had never opened it. We bought it for Christmas & let it sit until then. Emerson still hasn't contacted us back to let us know what to do with it. We'll NEVER shop Sky Box again! RUN don't walk AWAY from this product.
Defective product February 21, 2010 Fernando L. Rivera Not cool to have the device not work after 1 day! CD initially played well but "died" shortly thereafter. Do not recommend.
