Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars Carl Cox's excellent cartridge and stylus   March 18, 2007

I bought this cartridge for a rather inexpensive Numark model turntable; the original needle popped the very first time I played a record! Carl Cox's design "hugs" the record so well that I haven't, as of yet, noticed any skipping, even while playing older records. The price may scare you, but I made the plunge, and I have absolutely no regrets.

5 out of 5 stars Worthwhile Upgrade   June 17, 2008

This stylus is so superior to the one that comes with the turntable that I am actually glad the cleaning people ruined it. I keep the needle protector on now, whenever it is not in use. Even albums that my kids destroyed twenty five years ago track well. It is rare to get a skip and the pops and crackle just lend character and authenticity to the sound. This is a good upgrade to the Newmark USB Turntable.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Buy for the Price   June 29, 2010

For the price, this is one of the best deals out. Great needles and no problem when scratching at high speeds. Buy it and save your money.

3 out of 5 stars Ok but not great   November 30, 2008

I got 2 very recently and I'm satisfied with them. They seem to work fairly well on my 1200s. I say satisfied because for the price ($50 a piece), you can't really expect more.

They're not as well built as the ortofons and they don't come in carrying cases (like the ortofons). They also don't seem to track as well as the ortofons or the ever-reliable shure 447s. I have some concern on its tracking ability near the edge of the vinyl, specially on white labels. I've found that the only way to overcome this is by maxing the tracking force at +6.

But still, not bad for 50 bucks.
